Exmouth RNLI volunteer crew were assigned today following a report of a yacht apparently in difficulty on the River Exe north of Starcross.

Exmouth RNLI assigned to rescue capsized kayakers

Both Exmouth RNLI Inshore Lifeboats were assigned this afternoon following a report that two kayakers had capsized at the River Exe estuary and were being swept out to sea.

Exmouth RNLI All Weather Lifeboat was launched this morning to attend a report of a broken down motorboat with engine problems.
At 10.22hrs today, Tuesday 15 September 2020, H.M. Coastguard tasked our RNLI All Weather Lifeboat, 13-33 Bridie O’Shea to a report of a motorboat approximately 3 miles east of Teignmouth that had lost engine power as a result of a cam belt failure.

In what was their second assignment of the day, both Exmouth RNLI Lifeboats launched tonight following reports of concern for a paddleboarder seen 2.5 miles off the coast of Budleigh Salterton.
