CONCERN FOR TWO PERSONS AND DOG ON PILGRIMS WAY AT HOLY ISLAND.

At 10:28hr Seahouses Inshore Lifeboat was requested to launch as a precautionary measure, following a report of two walkers with a dog, attempting to cross the Pilgrims Way from Holy Island with the tide rising. High Water at Holy Island was at 12:21hr that day.

Local Coastguard teams from Holy Island and Seahouses were also tasked. As the Lifeboat approached Holy Island, the coastguard teams reported the walkers were safely ashore at Holy Island, so the Lifeboat was stood down and returned to station after their first call of 2020.
