It was decided to launch Seahouses ALB to assist the ILB. A local fishing vessel came across the kayakers and took them on board. The ILB and the ALB met with the fishing vessel and a crew member, trained in casualty care, went on board and assessed the casualties. The fishing vessel made its way to Seahouses and the casualty was removed by stretcher to the Life boat Station where he was kept under observation until an Ambulance arrived, to convey him to hospital. A local Doctor was at the harbour and assisted with the casualty.
