At 15:27hr on Tuesday 13 August 2019, Seahouses Lifeboat was requested to convey an ambulance crew to Holy Island, to treat a female with abdominal pain. The causeway was closed by the tide.
Seahouses All Weather Lifeboat was launched, and stood by in the harbour, awaiting the arrival of the ambulance. An ambulance arrived from the nearby Belford station, and the crew were taken aboard the lifeboat. One of the lifeboat crew was also a doctor. At Holy Island, the lifeboat was met by the local shore based Coastguard Team, who had been called out to the incident, and had conveyed the female to the harbour. She was assessed by the paramedics and the crew doctor, and conveyed back to Seahouses aboard the lifeboat. She was then taken by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
The Lifeboat was then returned to its carriage by 17:15hr that day.
