EENA, DJI Develop Standards to Spread Lifesaving Drone Technology
25 April 2018 – The European Emergency Number Association (EENA), the Brussels-based public safety NGO, and DJI, the world’s leader in civilian drones and aerial imaging technology, today celebrated how drones have saved lives in complicated rescue missions, and announced they are extending their research partnership to further integrate drones into rescue operations.

Volunteers from Exmouth lifeboat station were called upon to help four people in three incidents in under 24 hours between 13 and 14 April. Crew volunteers located a missing person, tasked to two men in difficulty in the river Exe and Shore Crew gave casualty care to a lady who had fallen on the beach.
At 20.57hr on Friday 6th April 2018, UK Coastguard requested the launch of Seahouses All Weather Lifeboat, to assist the North East Ambulance Service to reach a female in need of urgent medical care, on Holy Island. The Causeway was closed by the tide. As the ambulance was dispatched was from Belford Ambulance Station, it was directed to Seahouses Lifeboat Station.
