The Association of Air Ambulances (AAA), which represents the majority of Air Ambulance operations in the UK, has welcomed today’s announcement from UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP which sees an allocation of £10.8 million for the air ambulance community from the LIBOR (Bank Fines) Fund.

YACHT DISABLED ½ MILE OFF SEAHOUSES REQUESTS ASSISTANCE
At 15.15hr on Sunday 20th November 2016, UK Coastguard requested the launch of Seahouses All Weather Lifeboat, to go to the assistance of a 9.4 metre yacht, disabled approximately ½ mile off Seahouses harbour. The yacht had two crew aboard, and had been on passage from Eyemouth to Blyth, when is suffered engine failure in choppy sea conditions, and an increasing wind.
HMCS Vancouver begins humanitarian efforts after earthquake in New Zealand

Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Vancouver is assisting the people of New Zealand affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the South Island on November 14. HMCS Vancouver was in the vicinity of Auckland, NZ, at the time of the earthquake preparing for a goodwill visit to celebrate the 75th anniversary of New Zealand’s Naval Forces with other allied naval forces.

PR071116 Crew volunteers and families held a bucket collection on 4 November at Exmouth Round Table Fireworks display.
Crew volunteers from Exmouth RNLI were called out twice within 24 hours on 6 November. On Friday 4 November, the same 12 volunteers had helped Exmouth Round Table with a bucket collection at the annual town’s Fireworks display.
