At 22.21hr on Tuesday 9th February 2016, Humber Coastguard requested the launch of Seahouses Lifeboats to a report of persons on rocks being cut off by the rising tide, somewhere on the shore at Holy Island. Both Lifeboats were paged for launch in preparation of a search.

RNLI New Brighton were called by HM Coastguard at 2:50pm to assist a male person who was reported to be ill, a diabetic and in need of medical attention and on board a 32 ft yacht that had lost engine power.
At 13.10hr on Friday 5th February 2016, the North East Ambulance Service contacted Humber Coastguard, to request assistance to reach an injured elderly female with a suspected broken arm or wrist. The causeway was closed by the tide. Seahouses All Weather Lifeboat was requested to launch to convey the ambulance crew to the island. However, due to the delay in the time taken for the ambulance arriving at Seahouses, it was decided to despatch the Lifeboat straight to Holy Island, as there was concern for the welfare of the casualty.
Employees from Allianz UK have set themselves the target of raising over £1million for new charity partner Association of Air Ambulances Charity (AAAC). Launching today, the partnership will initially last three years with each Allianz branch organising fundraising activities at a local level to support their regional air ambulance service.
