APPGAA Confirmed

Following on from the busy period of the General Election, we can now confirm the All Party Parliamentary Group for Air Ambulances will be re-established under the confirmed Chairmanship of Chloe Smith MP for Norwich North. The first meeting of the APPGAA will be held on the on 6th July and the Annual Reception which invites all Air Ambulances to converge on Westminster will go ahead on Monday 26th October from 4pm – 6pm. National Charity Formed

The AAA has opened up the possibility of a new stream of income that could have a significant positive impact on members’ fundraising. The Association has created the Association of Air Ambulances Charity (AAAC), a body designed to funnel national donations into individual air ambulance charities.

The formation of the charity was expedited as it became a key element of securing £5 million of LIBOR money. For more information, look out for the next version of Airway.

Clinical Research Program

The Association is now in the process of receiving applications for the new Clinical Research Programme, giving a number of groups the chance to access a small grant to aid research across the sector. If you have a research proposal, please ensure you fill out the form via the link below as it could potentially lead to endorsement by the Association.
