Bell Helicopter Announces Agreement for Four Bell 206L-4s to Air Medical Group Holdings

Fort Worth, TX (March 9, 2015) Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), announced today the signed agreement for the sale of four Bell 206L-4s to Air Medical Group Holdings (AMGH), one of the largest independent providers of helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) in the world. The aircraft will be operated by Air Evac Lifeteam for HEMS missions. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2016.

The privately owned single-engine eight-place cabin class aircraft will be used for passenger transport. The first delivery of an AW119Kx to a Chinese customer follows the signing of a distributorship agreement with Sino-US Intercontinental in 2013 and the opening of a regional business headquarters in Shanghai in 2014.

MIT Group also plans to further expand the fleet with an additional helicopter in the coming months.

Hat Trick – Crown Mountain Stranded Climbers

Last night shortly after wrapping up our second Crown Mountain Medical Rescue for the weekend, at about 20:00, NSR was activated by Vancouver Police & RCMP for 2 overdue climbers suspected to be on Crown Mountain. During the rescue earlier in the day, the subject had noted that he saw these two climbers beforehand. After an initial investigation the team was activated for a general callout with ground crews responding to Grouse Mountain for deployment. Crews then spent a good portion of the night accessing Crown Mountain in snowing conditions with poor visibility.
