Vormann Leiss is a twin-engine rescue cruiser of the German Maritime rescue Service (DGzRS) of the 23.30-SAR Class and sister vessel to the Minden that we sold earlier in 2014. Built in 1985 In Germany by Abeking & Rassmussen Schiffs- und Yachtwerft in Lemwerde.
Last dry-dock in February 2014 at Shipyard Fassmer Motzen, Germany.

Built 1985 In Germany. 2 x MTU V8, 17 knots and rescue tender “Japsand” with 22 knots top speed. The Vormann Leiss is to be replaced by a new building of the 28-m class in June 2015. Last dry-dock in February 2014 at Shipyard Fassmer Motzen, Germany.

History

From June 1985 to July 1996, the Vormann Leiss was stationed in Bremerhaven, in July 1996 repositioned to Strucklahnungshörn on the island Nordstrand, in November 2008 repositioned to Wittdün on the island Amrum. The Vormann Leiss is to be replaced by a new building of the 28-m class in June 2015.

General arrangement

Bridge with seat for radio operator and skipper.

Day room with small table and toilet and shower facility and extra toilet room.

3 cabins and 6 beds. One for captain with one bed. Next is bouble cabin and fore is tripple cabin.

Aft deck with tender boat Japsand, top speed 22 knots. Hydraulic transom, 10 t towing hook.

Flybridge same navigational equipment as on the bridge with radar and charts, Engine controls on both sides and, VHF and engine displays.

Engine room

Storage aft of engine room with gyro and fire fighting equipment. Aft is steering engine.

Japsand. Built in 1990 by FS.Schweers Schiff-u. Bootswerft BARDENFLETH, Weser. Main Engine Steyr MO 256 K43 256 PS, 57 l / h at maximum speed 22 knots. 180 liter diesel tank. Radio certificate. Steering, VHF and navigational equipment on aft deck.

Fore deck with hydraulic capstan and windlass. Fire fighting canon and hatch to fore peak.
