At 11.40hr Saturday 19th April 2014, Humber Coastguard contacted the duty Launch Authority at Seahouses Lifeboat Station, and advised that a 19ft yacht had grounded a St Cuthbert’s Island, beside Holy Island. Local shore based Coastguards from Holy Island reported that the yacht was well aground and listing. There would be an obvious risk as the tide rose, that the yacht could flood.

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that the Armed Forces of Malta has taken up the option for a second AW139 intermediate twin engine helicopter. The helicopter will be used to conduct mainly maritime border control missions. The delivery of the second AW139 is scheduled for June 2015, while the first helicopter will be delivered in June 2014.
