Weston super Mare RNLI volunteers have had to cope with leaving their lifeboat station after 131 years and setting up temporary facilities to continue to save lives at sea.
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract for 16 AW101 helicopters plus support and training, valued at approximately £1 billion (€1.15 billion), to meet the Norwegian All Weather SAR Helicopter (NAWSARH) requirement. The contract also includes an option for six further aircraft.

Tim Mock, the Coxswain Mechanic of Exmouth lifeboat is retiring in February, after nearly 34 years of dedication. Christmas Day will be his last operational day for the charity that saves lives at sea.

The Official Signing Ceremony for the Norway’s NASWARH search and rescue helicopter programme is scheduled tomorrow, December 19th. The ceremony will be in English and live broadcasted from 12.00 to 1.30 pm on the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security website. See the link here below.
