Clay Maitland, Founding Chairman of the North American Marine Protection Association (NAMEPA), will provide the luncheon address at noon on Sept. 11. Never one to shy away from challenge or controversy, Maitland is expected to discuss places of refuse during his luncheon address.

Melissa Ferris, Washington State Department of Natural Resources Program Manager for the Derelict Vessel Removal Program, will deliver the luncheon address on September 12. This biennial executive event focuses on the critical issues of marine salvage, wreck removal and firefighting. The conference will include:

* OPA 90 regulatory update
* environmental salvage
* liability exposure and responder immunity
* OFAC restrictions on salvage operations
* activating the VRP
