Chipping Norton sportscar racer, Fergus Walkinshaw heads to the Michelin Ginetta GT Supercup rounds at Rockingham race circuit, on September 22 and23, with a new mission in mind. The 21 year-old will be driving awareness of National Air Ambulance Week 2012, September 24-30, within his new role as Motorsport Advocate for the Association of Air Ambulances.

On the afternoon of Thursday 20/09/2012 at 18 minutes past four Largs RNLI Lifeboat R A Wilson and her volunteer crew launched in response to a commercial fishing boat VENTURE in difficulty with two crew members on board.

A life saving charity took delivery of a new aircraft this morning (Tuesday 18 September) which will mean they are able to treat more people who become seriously ill or injured in the eastern region.
