The casualty vessel Imogen 11 with two persons on board suffered engine failure approximately six nautical miles west of St Davids Head.

As the lifeboat came alongside the vessel it had managed to start its engine.

But due to the fact that it still had problems with its fuel line, which reduced its speed, it was decided that the lifeboat escort the vessel to Fishguard Harbour.

This was a slow operation and at 11.10pm Fishguard RNLI lifeboat launched and made its way towards them, arriving off Strumble Head at 11.35pm.

Fishguard lifeboat then took over escorting duties with them arriving back in Fishguard at 12.20am, while St Davids lifeboat returned to station rehousing at 12.55am.
