Whilst providing sea cover for the Bournemouth Air Show yesterday, the volunteer crew from Mudeford RNLI were tasked to assist in searching for a 16ft vessel which was taking on water. The crew made their way towards Old Harry Rocks were the vessel was reported to be, along with four adults and two young children on board.

St Davids RNLI launches to the aid of a fishing vessel
On Wednesday August 22 at 9.20pm St Davids RNLI all-weather lifeboat Garside with its volunteer crew launched on service to the aid of a 11 metre fishing vessel, which was on passage from Holyhead to Newlyn.

Sunderland RNLI rescues 2 fishermen after boat suffers engine failure
Lifeboat volunteers from Sunderland RNLI Station scrambled into action for the seventy second occasion in 2012 early this afternoon (Wednesday 29 August) to assist two fishermen, after their boat suffered engine failure off Souter Point, South Tyneside.

Exmouth RNLI host a very busy bank holiday open day
Despite a wet and windy bank holiday Saturday, over 400 visitors came through the big wooden doors at Exmouth RNLI boathouse on 25 August. Crew volunteers gave up their holiday time to give informative talks and tours around the charity’s lifeboats. Volunteers from the fundraising guild ran stalls which raised over £850 for the station.
