This National Air Ambulance Week, the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is calling on supporters to join in with Come EAAA-T With Me, the charity’s latest initiative to put the fun back in to fundraising.

National Air Ambulance Week runs from Monday 24 September to Sunday 30 September and supporters are being asked to don their aprons, light their ovens and invite their friends round for dinner in order to raise much needed funds for the charity.

EAAA is inviting you to support your local life saving air ambulance by hosting a dinner party. All you need to do is invite your friends round for dinner and ask your guests to donate what they think your meal is worth to the charity.

Helen Dodman, leading this project for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, said: “While this is a fun way of raising money for charity, your participation means that many more lives will be saved across the region. Our life-saving doctor and critical care paramedic crews help to ease pain and suffering every day. It’s only through the dedication and hard work of our supporters that we’re able to fund the helicopters that help our crews to reach people in need. Without you, we simply wouldn’t exist and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in advance of your dinner parties.”

For those who can’t commit to hosting an evening and cooking three courses then there are several other options. You could still have people round for dinner but split the courses between you and add a donation in for the other courses. If hosting an evening is not really what you want to do, then why not bake some cakes and biscuits and take them in to work and ask for a donation in return.
