Mudeford RNLI assist a 23ft yacht

Mudeford RNLI were tasked at 8.35pm last night to assist a 23ft yacht which had a rope caught around its rudder, on the Christchurch ledge at Hengistbury Head.

The volunteer crew were unable to free the vessel, from the lobster pot rope, whilst aboard the vessel so one of the crew members entered the water and managed to free it.
Mudeford Servant then escorted the yacht across the ledge to ensure that the steering and engine were working properly, and then the stricken vessel carried on its passage to Studland Bay.
