The men got into difficulties and became trapped on the island when their own small boat filled with water.

Portaferry Lifeboat Operations Manager, Brian Bailie said “It was a choppy night and conditions weren’t the best in Strangford Lough. Our Portaferry RNLI volunteers are always pleased to effect a rescue, in this case bringing the gentlemen back to the safety of White Rock Bay.”
