Hunstanton RNLI Hovercraft Rescues Two People

On Sunday 26th February at 5.25 pm Yarmouth Coastguard requested the launch of Hunstanton RNLI’s hovercraft, in response to a treble nine call, that two persons were cut off by a rising tide at Brancaster Scolt Head island.

The Hovercraft H-003 was launched at 5.32 pm with volunteer RNLI crew and proceeded to Brancaster. Two males were located and picked up by the Hovercraft crew and landed on the beach at Brancaster Golf Club into the care of local Coastguard team. The hovercraft returned to station at 6.20 pm. The people involved came from the Wisbech area, believed to be Eastern Europeans. Weather conditions: Wind speed 1. SW. Sea state calm.
