AgustaWestland Delivers First of Two AW109 Powers to Keystone Med-Flight


AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce it has delivered in January 2012 the first of two AW109 Power helicopters to Keystone Med-Flight LLC. These aircraft will be used to perform flight management operations for the Hahnemann University Hospital’s, Tenet Health System – “MidAtlantic Medevac” Air medical Transport System in Pennsylvania.

The AW109 Power helicopter is equipped with a LifePort designed medical interior, Liquid Oxygen system, Garmin GNS430 system that provides IFR GPS, Com, VOR, LOC, and glide-slope with colour moving map, Bendix/King KMD850 multi-function display, Terrain Awareness and Warning System and a NVG compatible cockpit. AgustaWestland is currently outfitting the second AW109 Power at its facility in Philadelphia to the exact same configuration as the first in service aircraft. The AW109 Power medical fit-out and completion was conducted at Keystone Med-Flights sister company, Uniflight West Penn.

Hawke Aerospace was formed to focus on growing middle market aerospace companies, with a niche specialization in the rotorcraft segment of the industry. Recently Keystone Med-Flight was contracted to provide flight management operations for the Hahnemann University Hospital’s (Tenet Health System) “MidAtlantic Medevac” Air medical Transport System .
