Yacht towed to safety by Pwllheli RNLI lifeboat

Pwllheli’s RNLI all-weather lifeboat was launched on Saturday afternoon (24 September) to tow a yacht in which had lost steerage.

The yacht, with two people on board, was on passage from Averdyfi to Pwllheli when it suffered difficulties two miles east of St Tudwal’s islands.

The Abersoch RNLI lifeboat initially took the tow but transferred the tow to the Pwllheli lifeboat, Lilly and Vincent Anthony. The yacht was towed to Pwllheli marina.
